Vintage 5 Sun 30 + Step Sansui Zougan Japanese Puzzle Box
Requires over 35 steps to reveal the hidden space. Vintage boxes over 14 steps or so are EXTREMELY difficult to find. Two sets of split keys/slides on each end panel.
This piece is quite complex to open and is a very nice addition to collectors familiar with the opening mechanisms of Japanese Puzzle Boxes.
Sides have a traditional Ichimatsu inlay with floral design on the reverse of the box. Japan is stamped on the corner on the reverse side.
Lighter wear is evident and slight curving on the lid and rear panel.

No directions are available but opening sequence is somewhat similar to 6 Sun 54 step boxes.
