Description
This was my exchange puzzle at IPP 39 in Japan (5 years ago). I found enough pieces to make some extra copies.

All pieces were laser-cut. The pieces and frame's colour will be random.

Objective: Fit 1 tetromino and 4 dominoes into a 4x4 box as follows. The pieces must go through the bottom hole.

Design concept from Goh Pit Khiam: When I first designed The Restricted Zone, which was a similar puzzle where pieces fill the box entirely, I was curious whether I could create a "2D caged-burr" but with holes, much like high-level burrs. One of the interesting configurations is this puzzle. The packing is very loose, but the pieces do not seem to want to come off that easily. It feels very much like a disentanglement puzzle.

Free shipping anywhere in the world. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery, as I will post it as a large letter.

This was one of the puzzles in the last Karakuri lottery.Manipulating the dog to open the box.Official description on Karakuri website:I got a dog in the spring of 2025. Her name is Komame, which means "little bean" in Japanese. I named her after my wife's parents' dog, Azuki, which means "red bean". Komame is so cute. The trick represents what she did when she was a puppy. I hope you love her too. Please make payment via PayPal (Friends & Family).Shipping: £7 in the UK; £25 in the EU; £30 Re...
