Description

Drawer of Drops is a puzzle box from Hiroshi Iwahara of the Karakuri Creation Group. It’s made of walnut, magnolia, chanchin, and zelkova. It takes quite a bit of tinkering to figure out how to get it open and closed. The way the drops reveal successive layers of the various woods used makes for a unique and interesting display. Solved a couple of times and in like new condition.

Sounds like an inebriated Tennessee footballer but no, it’s Felix Ure’s challenging take-apart puzzle. Made from solid brass, this hammered version of the puzzle is stunning to look at and heavy to hold. If you have a display of puzzles this will be a showy centerpiece.
