Description

I’m offering one of Tom’s latest puzzle creations designed by Yasunari, that features some ‘tomfoolery’.

Your goal is to fit the small pieces into the rectangular shaped tray, seems simple enough until it isn’t!

Convolution - Stewart Coffin by John Devost
This is my favourite cube design by Stewart and I’ve crafted countless copies over the years, however this particular copy was made entirely from Maple.  I made this one in January and I was quite fond of the puzzling nature of it being made from one type of wood as it definitely makes it much more difficult to disassemble and of course incredibly difficult to reassemble!I also made a two-piece stand using the same Maple harvested from an antique upright piano.Comes with printed solution she...

My One and Only - Stewart Coffin by John Devost
This awesome design by Stewart is one of my favourite, it appears so simple but is fiendishly difficult to solve. Here’s an excerpt from Stewart:“The problem here was to find a combination using the five non-symmetrical pentominoes (made of five joined squares) plus one other pentomino that fit into a rectangular tray one way only. After a long search, this goal was finally achieved.”Comes with a signed and dated sheet.Shipping cost to be determined at close of auction.

Shipping to be calculated at close of auction.  Please note that t...

Singmaster Packing - David Singmaster (1971) by John Devost
This design by Professor Singmaster (sadly passed away in 2023) was my very first puzzle offering at CubicDissection back in 2005, it’s 25 pieces that can be packed in the box 22 ways.I was going through my ‘Salvaged Piano Wood’ (see last photo of my keyboard wall hanging, that I made from our upright piano that was produced in the ‘roaring ‘20’s!), so I figured I’d make more of this classic puzzle with this antique lumber. As always everything gets my ‘triple buffing finish’ th...
