Description

Kyoko Hoshino has a distinctive style within the Karakuri Creation Group, with puzzle boxes that often possess a story-telling nature with movements that align beautifully with a puzzle’s theme.  A great example of this is Kinoko Box.  “Kinoko” is the Japanese word for “mushroom”, two of which can be found adorning this box and where the solution is fluidly connected to them.  All original packaging included.

Ramen delivery box (2015) - Kyoko Hoshino (Karakuri)
Kyoko Hoshino has a distinctive style within the Karakuri Creation Group, with puzzle boxes that often possess a story-telling nature.  The story for Ramen delivery box is pretty direct: Can you fully open the delivery box?  The puzzle has a delightful solution, plus gives you a cool twist when you have to reset everything back to start with the delivery tray returned to the delivery box.  All original packing material is included. Karakuri product description: This work was designed for a...

Zipp Chack (2017) - Yasuaki Kikuchi (Karakuri)
Yasuaki Kikuchi ‘s puzzle style combines playful themes, puzzle cleverness, high craftsmanship, and conceptual originality.  This is well-exemplified by Zipp Chack, Kikuchi’s 2017 Christmas puzzle.  Its form is a zipper.  How do you open a zipper?  While the answer informs the solution to this puzzle, Kikuchi doesn’t make it the obvious “just pull down the zipper”.  Can you figure out how to “unzip” the box to open it?  All original packing material is included. Karakuri pro...
