Description

Mini Lock by Christoph Lohe / Pelikan

Crafted in Ash and Purpleheart by Pelikan.

Christoph Lohe wrote about it: “The puzzle consists only of a frame with one obstacle, a shackle, and two sticks. With a level 6.7 it is not a difficult puzzle, but it can be operated like a tiny padlock, which is a nice touch. When I received Pelikan's sample, I was amazed what they made of the design. They have been able to build it in a tiny size, only about 25 grams. Nevertheless, the woodworking is fabulous, very precise, tolerances are just perfect, and the wood selection is breathtaking. It is a cute little gem, I love it!”

At 32 mm x 26 mm x 52 mm, Mini Lock by Christoph Lohe is on the smaller side, packing a clever mechanism into a diminutive functioning wooden padlock.

Mini Cubes by Markus Gotz / Tom LenschWith only 12 sets made and in superb condition, this set of puzzles is a VERY rare and fine example of Tom's craftsmanship.  Five cubes in all, each made of different exotics and finished with Tom's trademark buttery smooth feel.  Cubes are made in Yellowheart, Indian Rosewood, Narra, Avodire and Red Cumaru.  Two of the cubes are 27 units, two are 26, and one is 25.  Each completed cube measures just under 1-3/4" and bears a key piece with the "TL" br...

Box in Box
Box in BoxNo origin information on this puzzle, but it consists of two separate boxes (4 halves in all) in two different hard woods.  The object is to hide one color box inside the other color box.  Either color can be hidden inside the other.  This is a great head scratcher for new puzzlers and the box quality and dimensions are spot on.  The last copy of this I saw was produced by Wayne Daniel and had the marking "WAD" on one of the boxes.  There is no such marking I see here, but the box...
