A true collector's item from the Edward Hordern IPP Puzzle Exchange in Prague, Czech Republic, 2008. Presented by Mike Hawthorne, this exceptional puzzle was designed and meticulously crafted by Václav Obšívac at Vin & Co.
Challenge and Design:
* Difficulty: Rated 5+/5 on Vinco’s own scale, this puzzle is a formidable challenge for even the most experienced puzzlers.
* The Goal: The primary objective is to assemble a 70mm x 70mm x 70mm cube from the 8 included pieces. However, the true depth of the puzzle lies in the additional challenge of creating eight other "amazingly complex" shapes.
* Co-ordinated Motion: Vinco has introduced two further challenges that require coordinated motion to solve, adding another layer of complexity.
* Unique Aesthetics: The puzzle's design ensures you can't rely on wood grain for a solution. Václav Obšívac has purposefully used a variety of timbers to create the pieces, so no two grain patterns align. This beautiful mix of woods highlights the natural color and texture of each piece.
* Materials: Each puzzle is a unique blend of locally sourced timbers, which may include acacia, ash, beech, cherry, elm, larch, maple, oak, pear, plum, and walnut. The pieces are finished with liquid beeswax to preserve their natural beauty.
A Masterpiece of Puzzle Design:
The Diagra puzzle is a testament to the artistry and ingenuity of its creator, Václav Obšívac. It is more than just a puzzle; it is a work of art, a brain-teaser, and a conversation starter all in one. Get ready for a late night—this puzzle will captivate your mind until the last piece is in place.
