Description

I’m reluctantly offering up this beautiful puzzle box from the Karakuri Creation Group.

The movements on this beautiful PuzzleBox are stunning and I’m amazed at how it works flawlessly, once open there are four compartments that each have their own lids.

Here’s a description from Hideaki Kawashima at his KCG page:

“I improved the design of Jigsaw Cube 2, which I presented in 2017.

The previous version was decorated with collapsed hexagons, but the change to an arrow shape has increased the appeal of the piece.

However, with this change, the number of bevels and the difficulty to work with increased dramatically.

In the 15 years since I started making karakuri boxes, I have mobilized all the skills, knowledge and tools I have acquired to produce this piece.

Some changes have also been made to the internal structure.

The puzzle is not difficult. Please enjoy the fluid movement.”

Also included is a special Box and Lid that I made specifically to store this puzzle box.  It features some very expensive Ebony along with Yelloheart and Leopardwood.

Euro Star by Henry Strout
I have decided to offer up this puzzle in an effort to further thin out my personal collection.  This beautiful puzzle was Henry’s IPP 37 Exchange in Paris, France.  It follows his ‘Train’ theme of course, however Brian has cleverly designed the pieces to spell out ‘Euro Star’!It’s likely that solving this packing puzzle piece by piece will end in futility as a key strategy is needed to fully pack all the pieces in the box with its obstructions.  Shipping cost to be determined at ...

Coal Car by Henry Strout
I have decided to offer up this puzzle in an effort to further thin out my personal collection.  This cute little puzzle was Henry’s IPP 33 Exchange in Tokyo/Narita, Japan. There’s only three pieces that need to be fit in the ‘Coal’ box, however there is a piece attached that makes for a non-trivial solve.Shipping cost to be determined at close of auction.
