Description

This is one of the original puzzles exchanged by Hiroshi Yamamoto at IPP20 in LA in 2000. The puzzle is in its original box with label.

The puzzle is to slide the pieces around so the odd shaped START piece can be placed in the tray.
The puzzle is made from wood. Designed by Hiroshi Yamamoto in memory of Edward Hordern. S&P stands for Slide and Place.
Size: 145mm x 145mm x 20mm

Condition is good.  Slight crinkle on one corner of the outer cardboard box. See photo.

General Information:

This is Brian Young from Mr Puzzle in Australia selling some doubles as a result of merging Ray Mead’s collection into my own existing collection.
This puzzle has been in Ray’s collection since he exchanged with Hiroshi in 2000. It does not look like its been played with. I did not take it out of the box and try to solve myself before selling.

If you have any questions you can email me separately via our Mr Puzzle email address mrpuzzle@mrpuzzle.com.au  But please don’t email and ask to discontinue the auction. All auctions will run their duration. It’s the fairest course for everyone.

All prices in Australian Dollars (not US Dollars).  We much prefer payment via Wise or other bank transfer. PayPal is also possible.

After the auction please message me to let me know if you would like standard or express postage. Rates below.  Then I will send an invoice including postage (and tariff for US buyers).

If you buy more than one item I will be happy to combine ship and quote postage based on exact weight. Usually unless a very heavy puzzle is involved it won’t be much different to the single item below.

Cost to ship this puzzle Standard:
Australia A$12.00 - NZ A$21.00 - US/Canada/EU/Asia  A$31.00 - UK/Scandinavia A$39.00 - Other countries please request a quote.

Cost to ship this puzzle Express:
Australia A$15.00 - NZ A$42.00 - US/Canada/EU/Asia A$48.00 - UK/Scandinavia A$56.00 - Other countries please request a quote.

Import duties/tariffs are not included in the final price.
The import duty or tariff rate may be different for every country so please check the rate that applies to your own country.
It is usual practice that import duties or tariffs are paid by the buyer at the point of import or delivery in your own country.

USA is the exception. The USA government has mandated that the tariff be paid to them from Australia before we can send the parcel. The tariff percentage may be different depending on where the puzzle was made.

The country where this puzzle was made is Japan.  At this time the Tariff is 15% + Admin fee.

Made by Mr Puzzle. As soon as Brian saw this design published by Yavuz Demirhan on Facebook he immediately wrote to Yavuz to get permission to produce it.  He knew it would be a winner!  A nice balance of wood interwoven with acrylic makes a good looking puzzle.  This puzzle is not so difficult to take apart.   But mix up the pieces, walk away and forget about them, come back later and you’ll find it q...
