Up for auction is the Eight Segment Burr, designed and crafted by renowned Japanese puzzle master Hidekuni Tamura for the IPP 31 (International Puzzle Party) exchange in Berlin, 2011.
As MIB as possible. It is in a zip lock baggie but has never been taken out or solved. I didn't, Bill Darrah didn't. I am sure I could never get it back in the bag as clean as this is.
This is not your average burr. While it appears to be a standard interlocking "knot," it consists of eight unique segments rather than standard notched sticks. Per the designer's notes, the puzzle features two basic segment shapes that can be assembled in different orders to create four distinct varieties of the finished burr.
A fantastic addition for any collector of IPP exchange puzzles or fans of Tamura’s "Tam’s Burr" series.
Shipping determined at close of auction.
