Here's a gem of a puzzle from the mind of Eric Fuller!
I bought this direct from Cubic Dissection back in 2022, and I enjoyed this coin release sequential discovery SO much. I still marvel at how many elements, mechanisms and tricks Eric and his team was able to hide within such a narrow form factor. This is a TRUE SD puzzle, with many steps for you to discover. I wish I could erase my memory of the solution so I could do it all fresh again!
I like that the penny is sitting there right in front of you from the start, but unable to be removed!
Like all great designs by Eric, this puzzle plays with your assumptions
and nothing is out of place, with everything having a reason for
existence. I spent hours upon hours solving this one, and this puzzle is a true
solve and reset journey. Until you can reset the puzzle, you have not
truly mastered it. There was one final element I hadn't understood, and the moment I did after hours of trying, the aha moment had me through my head back and laugh, it was such a great moment!
This puzzle also has my absolute favourite surprise 'moment' in all of the cubic dissection puzzles I've solved. I gasped and then laughed so much.
In hand the puzzle is heftier than you'd expect, with a sold weight to it, and wonderful tactility to the movements. It's in flawless condition, complete with original packaging and has been kept in a strictly humidity controlled environment since new.
