Description
Minima Dove is an interesting Minima puzzle because it's one of the few Minima puzzles not actually designed by Frederic Boucher himself despite his seeming monopoly on the concept with the way he pumps out minima after minima nonstop!

For those who don't know, Minimas are what some puzzlers refer to puzzles that deal with a 2x2x3 box which is an awfully tiny constrained space to design a puzzle in. Hence the name coined for it by Boucher who originated the concept. Minima is about making the most out of a "minimal" space. Minima Dove is Andee's take on the puzzle with an intriguing dovetail seam visible on the box. It's a packing puzzle at it's core but with a twist. It's all up to the puzzler to figure out how the pieces go inside and back out of the box.

I haven't tried too many of the Minimas outside of the earlier ones and the SD versions of the Minima puzzles (Jammed Gem, Jammed Coin, and Jammed Gem Again), but I liked this take more than most other Minimas because of how it expanded the puzzle to be more than a packing puzzle with an interesting mechanism involved to complicate the solve. I recommend this puzzle to any Minima fans or puzzlers looking to dip a toe into this micro-genre of puzzles!

Slideways by Raymond Stanton & Akio Yamamoto
So once upon a time, Cubic Dissection came out with a lovely puzzle called Slideways that people just went nuts over. It was a 3-piece burr that assembled unlike any burr puzzle before it with coordinate motion moves! It was such an excellent introductory puzzle to the genre of coordinate motion puzzles, also co-mo puzzles for faster speech and slang. It had it all! It was small, easily shared around to even non-puzzlers and simple enough to convey the sheer magic of the deceptivel...

New Old School (NOS) Burr #5 (Crenal) by Gregory Benedetti
Gregory took one look at the traditional 6-piece burr style and decided to design a 6-piece burr that would torment and screw with the minds of all prospective burr solvers. He cut out triangular notches, added triangular cuts, and introduced a wild coordinate-motion moves integral to taking this burr apart and back together. For such a remarkable idea, it's oddly hard to find anyone who is willing to make copies of this series! Eric noted that it'd be a nightmare to make and turned it down. But ...

Knot-a-2x2 by Rex Perez
Knot-a-2x2 made for a wild flashback to my younger years playing with a Rubik's Cube. I'll be honest here, I struggled just as badly here as I did back then with the Rubik's Cube hahaha.I had fun with Rex's prior designs when he was mostly selling coin releases and burrs, so when I heard that he was designing an SD for seemingly the first time, I knew I had to get it. And hearing that it's based on the design of a Rubik's Cube, that just sealed the deal. The goal is to scramble up the cube so you...
