Description

This is a new puzzle made by Brian Young at Mr Puzzle.
The puzzle box shell is a “donor” puzzle. None of the original puzzle solution of the donor puzzle is used.  All puzzling to open the box is the creation of Brian Young.

Goal:  The puzzle is to find the Tokyo Cherry Blossom
If you know about the “Houston we had a Problem” SD box and managed to get  back to earth after that Apollo 13 mission it’s now time to take off again in Tokyo. Now there’s nearly twice as many steps (locks) plus the originals that were in the Houston version of the puzzle.

Despite appearances there is surprisingly very little dexterity and hardly any blind moves. There have been tools included for each challenge along the way to enable you to minimise the use of dexterity.

Original Mr Puzzle blog entry: https://www.mrpuzzle.com.au/tokyo-we-have-a-problem/

Size:  150x82x55mm
Materials: The puzzle box shell is a “donor” puzzle. Other acrylic, brass and metal parts are made by Brian.
A Jarrah wood inlay strip on the side of the puzzle is added by Brian.
(Note: This is the same puzzle as the version of the puzzle with the decorative inlay.  Only the inlay on the side of the box has changed.)

Condition: New Puzzle.

Ovolo 8 piece Yavuz Demirhan designed burr
Made for the Edward Hordern IPP36 in Kyoto, Japan. August 2016Designed by Laszlo Molnar. Made by Mr Puzzle. As soon as Brian saw this design published by Yavuz Demirhan on Facebook he immediately wrote to Yavuz to get permission to produce it.  He knew it would be a winner!  A nice balance of wood interwoven with acrylic makes a good looking puzzle.  This puzzle is not so difficult to take apart.   But mix up the pieces, walk away and forget about them, come back later and you’ll find it q...
