Description

The goal of this wooden burr puzzle is to assemble the 11 piece burr.
It is #16 puzzle in a Limited Edition set of 24 made by Mr Puzzle in 2001.
The puzzle is signed by Brian.

The puzzle was designed by Leonid Mochalov, a Russian mathematics teacher, who first published a book of puzzles in 1980 and updated it in 2000 releasing “400 Puzzles & Tricks” (very loosely translated by a friend who is not actually Russian).
This puzzle is taken from that book and we think Leonid’s name for the puzzle translates as “Knot Out Of Flat Element”.

It is an eleven piece burr utilising flat rectangular pieces. Because it has a solid locking piece it is not a very difficult puzzle, however it is quite an unusual burr design.

Size: 120 x 120 x 120mm assembled
Made from Satin Sycamore grown in North Queensland
New. The fit is firm but not tight. Brian has solved the puzzle before listing.
This puzzle is #16. The original LE certificate has been lost but I will reprint it from the original file and include with the puzzle.
