Description

The Cover Up puzzle is not too hard and very playable. Great fun to try to solve.

This puzzle is new and packaged as it was originally sold. The photos are from our website. Since retirement I’ve had some unsold stock of puzzles listed on eBay. I’m listing these items at lower prices than eBay in case you win an auction item and want to take the opportunity to combine ship other items.

Original text describing the puzzle from our website is below.  And general information about payment and shipping below that.

Original Text from Mr Puzzle website:
Edward Hordern IPP39 Puzzle Exchange – Kanazawa, Japan in August 2019.

Designed by George Sicherman Presented by Rosemary Howbrigg. Made by Mr Puzzle.

The goal of this puzzle is to place the T-shaped piece on a flat surface and hide it under the other four pieces. We made it a different colour so you’ll easily see if part of it is poking out.

We’ve found that people with just a casual interest in puzzles fiddle with this one for ages not believing that it’s possible but not wanting to put it away. Hardcore puzzlers on the other hand really appreciate the design and just how the shapes fit together.

The designer himself says that it seems to be a puzzle that’s great fun to play with, and the solvers feel good after they discover the point… that is IF they discover the deception that George has achieved with this one. But it is true that even the team here at Mr Puzzle were taking this one home for the whole family to have a go at. the result – mixed success!

The woods uséd in this puzzle are: The red colour T piece: Western Australian Jarrah The 4 lighter coloured pieces: Sycamore

Size: In some ways even giving the dimensions of this puzzle could be seen as a clue so all we’re giving is the size of the box. 68mm x 68mm x 68mm.

Packaged in brown card box disassembled. There is a solution enclosed.

Entrant 2019 IPP Puzzle Design Competition.

General Information:

All prices in Australian Dollars (not US Dollars).  We much prefer payment via Wise because the charges are far less. But we can accept PayPal.

The puzzles will be shipped from us here in Australia by Australia Post.

If you would like to purchase and combine ship with another fixed price or auction item please PM me or email me at mrpuzzle@mrpuzzle.com.au.  I’ll quote based on exact weight but it should not be much higher than the standard base cost.

Cost to ship this puzzle Standard:  Australia AU$15 - NZ AU$25 - US/Canada/Asia  AU$30 - UK/EU/Scandinavia AU$35
Cost to ship this puzzle Express:  Australia AU$18 - NZ AU$40 - US/Canada/Asia AU$45 - UK/EU/Scandinavia AU$50
Other countries please request a quote.

Import duties/tariffs are not included in the final price.
The import duty or tariff rate may be different for every country so please check the rate that applies to your own country.

It is usual practice that import duties or tariffs are paid by the buyer at the point of import or delivery in your own country.

USA is the exception. The USA government has mandated that the tariff be paid to them from Australia before we can send the parcel. The tariff percentage may be different depending on where the puzzle was made. For Mr Puzzle puzzles made here in Australia the rate is 12.5% + Admin fee.
