Odawara Lantern is a classic, hard-to-find 2008 Karakuri creation by famed craftsman Tatsuo Miyamoto. The puzzle is inspired by the traditional Odawara chochin, a foldable traveling lantern historically used in the Odawara region where Karakuri is located. This Odawara lantern has multiple compartments that open in a satisfying, beautiful way. It is fairly large and has fantastic shelf presence. All original packing material is included.
Karakuri product description:
This is one of the works that were developed for the cause of the concept to "make works associated with Odawara and Hakone". The motif is "the Odawara Lantern" which has been used for a long time in the Odawara area. It isn’t difficult to open. When you play with it, the form of the lantern changes interestingly. You can use it as an accessory case.
