Description

This is one of the original puzzles exchanged by Saul Boobroff at IPP20 in LA in 2000.

Goal: Work out how this was constructed?  No moving parts.
I have a lot of impossible puzzles and this is right up there near the top. I love showing it to people and you get some really weird answers????
Material: Acrylic
Size: 30mm cube

Condition:  Good. In its original homemade box from recycled cardboard that Saul made and gave with the puzzle. It’s complete with its stand.

General Information:

This is Brian Young from Mr Puzzle in Australia selling some doubles as a result of merging Ray Mead’s collection into my own existing collection.
This puzzle has been in Ray’s collection since he exchanged with Saul in 2000.

If you have any questions you can email me separately via our Mr Puzzle email address mrpuzzle@mrpuzzle.com.au  But please don’t email and ask to discontinue the auction. All auctions will run their duration. It’s the fairest course for everyone.

All prices in Australian Dollars (not US Dollars).  We much prefer payment via Wise or other bank transfer. PayPal is also possible.

After the auction please message me to let me know if you would like standard or express postage. Rates below.  Then I will send an invoice including postage.

If you buy more than one item I will be happy to combine ship and quote postage based on exact weight. Usually unless a very heavy puzzle is involved it won’t be much different to the single item below.

An original miniature burr puzzle made by Allan Boardman to exchange at IPP20 in LA in 2000.  Allan is a master of making not just miniature but micro puzzles.  He said at the time he didn’t expect many people to actually play with the puzzle but that if you wanted to you could.  The puzzle is fully functional and made with very fine tolerances. Goal: To take the puzzle apart and reassemble the 12 pieces again into the classic cage burr shape with the ball inside.Material: Pao Ferro Wood f...

Big Ben sequential discovery puzzle
A sequential discovery puzzle designed by John Moores, Junichi Yananose & Brian Young made at Mr Puzzle in 2014 for the IPP14 exchange. This photo is the actual puzzle we are selling. It was one of the puzzles that was in the Design Competition in 2015. It has no engraving on the bottom of the puzzle.  Entry to the DC is supposed to be anonymous so the engraving was removed.I’ve given it a thorough going over and I think it must have been the second puzzle sent because I don’t think it’s b...
