This Scion was produced using the original filament selected for the very first Scion run.
Before Scion V1 was ever released publicly, approximately 20 cubes were produced in this slow-gradient volcanic filament and distributed privately to testers, close collaborators, and members of my personal Discord. Shortly after that initial run, the filament was discontinued and never made available again. (It is incredibly dense and can be challenging to work with, but makes for a sturdy build that I drop tested at 12 feet.)
I retained a small amount of the remaining material strictly for potential repairs or replacements. That reserve was just enough to produce one final cube.
This piece uses that original volcanic filament on the exterior, paired with a translucent ice-blue internal core that creates a striking depth contrast during manipulation. The outer faces feature woven textures produced on a machined-grit plate, giving the cube a metallic, industrial finish. I can also make a stand for this for 7$ extra. It would be the blue as a base and a top of this filament as that is all I have enough for.
Mechanically, this cube is fully current:
Built to V5 geometry, tolerances, and internal refinements
Functionally identical to the latest Scion
Visually and materially impossible to reproduce
This cube is badged "V1–V5" to mark the full evolution of the Scion over the past year and a half.
From its earliest material experiments to its final, refined form.
This is a true one-off artifact:
Original pre-V1 material
Full V5 implementation
No remaining filament exists
Please wait for final invoice, as always, and I accept all forms of payment.
