3 Wise Bolts sequential discovery puzzle by Brian Young
This is an original puzzle made by us in 2018 that we’ve found recently amongst my own collection. In its original box with solution. Never sold. Never played with. I have been through the solve and double checked everything is working as expected and reset the puzzle.Original story from our website:The goal is to completely separate the two halves of the puzzle and find the two small round secret compartments. You’ll then need to be able to reassemble the puzzle to be able to say you’...

L3NS SD Camera Build by EmGi/Kris Antibus
L3NS is a themed puzzle where you need to operate it as if it's a real camera to open the shutter and take a picture before then resetting it. I had a fun time tricking a few people into thinking it's a real 3d-printed camera that could develop the film on the spot. Of course that was a lie, but the craftsmanship of the print made for a very convincing camera at a quick first glance! The puzzling was fantastic even if I breezed through the solve for the most part with only one spot that stumped ...

LOL by Frederic Boucher
Frederic Boucher has a long history of coming up with wild puzzles, but he doesn't like to craft more than a handful of copies before moving on to the next design. Which is why I'm so appreciative of Pelikan for stepping in to make more copies of LOL for everyone to try!LOL is a packing puzzle where the solver needs to fit all of the pieces into a 4x5 space with only a 1x2 opening to fit the pieces inside. It's obvious that rotations will be required since there are pieces that wouldn't otherwis...

Stuffing Burr by Dr. Volker Latussek
Stuffing Burr is a bit of a quirky puzzle that's having fun playing with the boundaries of what it means to be a burr puzzle. It's not the first time where I played with a burr puzzle with the goal of assembling it instead of taking it apart. But oddly enough, we don't need to deal with the struggling of long sequence of moves to manipulate and move the burr sticks around until they assemble. The level and move counts here are obviously fairly low. But the catch is that the final goal shape isn't...

Archipuzzle by Lucie Pauwels
Archipuzzle is actually a sequel of sorts to Stuffing Burr despite both puzzles being designed by different people.Just like Stuffing Burr, Archipuzzle is an unusual burr puzzle where the goal is to assemble it instead of taking the burr apart. Furthermore, it has a catch in that it has no obvious goal shape unlike most other burrs. Instead, solvers need to figure out how to assemble the pieces in a way that every notch is filled in with another piece.Lucie was inspired by Volker's Stuffing Burr...

T14 Popplock by Rainer Popplock
Where do I begin with this beast of a puzzle? It's one of the most sought after puzzle lock with multiple fanatical fans wanting to collect every single lock made by Rainer. He definitely knows how to make locks that would stump any thief looking to loot one's puzzle collection! It'll stump their minds and is made so sturdily that it'd stump their aching hands and demand power tools to break through! It's not an easy puzzle at all and I struggled for a long time working on it, but it was such an ...

Matchbox Playground by Péter Gál
Does anyone remembers Oskar's Matchboxes? The solver had 5 matchboxes with a square shell and a box attached to it at different spots from piece to piece, and then they had to be put them together so all 5 boxes would fit inside another matchbox. It was a very interesting puzzle with 4 cavities to store small items inside and people had fun finding multiple ways to put the boxes together. It was fairly popular and not the only one of it's type! Matchbox Play Six by Olexandre Kapkan upped the cou...

Vertigo by Dee Dixon
Vertigo definitely lives up to its name considering how easy it is to go around and around in circles with this puzzle! It's a good thing that it's so pretty and nice to look at considering how long I spent just staring at it like an idiot lost on the next step to do! I liked it more than most of Dee's other works. It has some very nice steps that I was impressed by and liked to repeat just for the tactile pleasure of executing these steps.Grab this bad boy to enjoy as the first puzzle of 2026!I ...

Sand Castle Puzzle Box by Josiah
Sand Castle is the first in a trilogy of lego puzzles from Josiah, and it starts things off with a bang! The goal is to find and raise the hidden flag from within the castle, but that's not the end point of this puzzle. You have to figure out the reset as well which is not a simple reversal of prior steps! It's not considered too hard, but I still had a lovely time with the involved 5 steps of the puzzle and it makes for an excellent introductory lego puzzle to hand to family and friends. The pdf ...

Prison Block Puzzle Box by Josiah
Prison Block is the second in a trilogy of lego puzzles from Josiah, and it makes for a very worthy sequel! The goal is to open the gate of the prison, trigger the alarm, and free the imprisoned jailbird from his cell! But that's not the end point of this puzzle. Just like with Sand Castle, you also have to figure out the reset as well which is not a simple reversal of prior steps! It's a major step up from Sand Castle with 18 steps and Josiah was rightfully proud of himself for implementing som...

Slidebox 353 by Stephan Baumegger
Slidebox 353 is a BEAST of a puzzle where you have an incredibly high move count before you can take out the sides of this "box". In fact, the move count is included in the name of this puzzle. It takes 353 moves before this box opens up!The acrylic sliders are a nice touch to support and enhance the wooden panels. I liked the contrast between the 2 materials and they helped me by not obscuring as much of the wood. But I have to be honest here. It's such a long solve that I got tired and just re...

Small Box: Block C and Creature P by Osamu Kasho (Karakuri)
Small Box: Block C and Creature P is such a cute and quirky puzzle by Kasho. He crafted it with such stunning skill that it looks like a solid block of wood with no visible seams. And it's a lovely puzzle that's fun to work through even if it's on the easier side!Furthermore, the name explains that there are 2 versions of this puzzle with identical outsides. "Small Box: Block C" is the base puzzle where the solver simply needs to open up the box. "and Creature P" indicates that it was a special ...

Japanese Yosegi Sliding Box
This is one of many, many, many yosegi boxes where the goal is to open up the puzzle box by moving panels around on the 6 sides of the box and sometimes with further tricks involved. It's not a terribly difficult puzzle. In fact, it's fairly easy and I'd use it to introduce non-puzzlers to the hobby as the first starter puzzle for them. I liked how cute it was and fun to find the next move in this solve. The only complaint I'd have is that the seams of the panels were a tad too visible, but that...
