Description

This is a final prototype copy of Oleg's Wardrobe made using alternate woods. All the steps of the final version are included. It's made from Peruvian walnut and aromatic cedar. I usually make a few puzzles in different woods and choose one of them for the final version. I would consider this a scratch and dent copy. Thanks for looking.

Torrified ash Blinded

I used torrified ash, sapele and tigerwood to make this copy of Blinded. One of only two made. Torrefied wood (or roasted wood) is hardwood baked in an oxygen-free kiln at high temperatures. This process eliminates moisture, sap, and sugars and creates a highly stable, rot-resistant wood that is lighter, stiffer, darker and less prone to warping. I really like how dark this turned out after a hand rubbed oil and wax finish. Measurements are 5x3.5x4.
