In October of 2021 Alfons posted a picture of a grooved board burr with grooves on the planar faces.
Immediately following he stated he would not make another. He had made 3 when I received mine.
I asked if I could make a 3D copy and he offered to finish one he had started for a collector, that hadn’t worked out. The exotic woods I wanted matched up and he only had to make a couple pieces to finish it.
It is #3 and is the only one with 3 exotic woods.
Zebrawood, Wenge, and Movingui to be exact.
The pins are made from beech.
It is a difficult burr 37.7.3.2 and has some very unique moves because of the way it’s designed.
I have solved it and realize these high level burrs are not something I will repeat the solves on so I want to put it in the hands of a serious collector.
