this is the original 'iron' version, with the 3D-printed metal and other metal parts chemically aged with salt, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and i'd like to think a 150-year-old fifth of rotgut whisky as well, all applied and slowly simmered in a closed sun-heated container to lend the finished work that authentic 'old, rusted, and possibly containing a skeleton' aesthetic. certain items inside are also appropriately 'aged' with the enlisted help of Jesse's sister Christina and a pot of black coffee, and additionally some hollow parts are filled with plaster to give it that vault-like weight. that's how dedicated Jesse is to his craft, not just the design but the appearence and the presence of a good backstory, and if you're family you will be put to work. frankly Jesse's work is some of the stuff i'll miss the most when the collection's gone.
♪#1: one of the 3D printed feet on this arrived partly delaminated (see last photo). this does not affect the function of the puzzle.
♪#2: it does not contain a skeleton.
