⟬ Fisher Fortnight ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——06. Halpern-Meier Tetrahedron (2014)
built on a Meffert's skewb with ball-bearing alignment. movement is perfect.
from the description in the TwistyPuzzles.com museum:
This transformation of a Skewb is also known as "Halpern-Meier-Tetrahedron" (short: HMT) after the two persons (Benjamin R Halpern and Kersten Meier) who first came up with this concept.
The patent behind the number given here dates back to 1981 and names Mr. Halpern as inventor.
In 1984 Aleksandr Ordynets filed a patent which covers the HMT (including trivial tips) and Trajber's Octahedron. This must be a case of parallel invention.
Tony Fisher is credited as inventor in this museum because he is the first person who is known to have actually produced one sample (by hand), which took place in 1991.
