Description

An unusual Burr designed by Juno made at Mr Puzzle in 2013 as part of 20 year anniversary Limited Edition series. Only 45 ever made.

The puzzle comes with it’s original certificate and medallion.

This photo is the actual puzzle we are selling.  Number 4 in the series.

I’ve started a retirement puzzle room clean up and found this copy. It has never been sold or out of my possession. But I’ve gone through all the solve steps of the puzzle and it works properly.

I have no idea what this is actually worth these days so I’ve set the starting price as my original selling price back in 2013 and I’ll let the market sort that out.

Note: prices and payment is in Australian dollars not USD

Original text from our website way back then below.

And general information about payment and shipping below that.

Original Text from Mr Puzzle website:

Sold out 2013 Limited Edition Set of 45.

Original Price: AU$230.00

Designed by Junichi Yananose for the IPP33 Puzzle Design Competition and made by him and Brian when he worked here at Mr Puzzle. The burr is a 12 piece unique solution level 13-1-4-1-1-2. Junichi describes it as challenging but not too difficult; he considers it solvable without a computer.

Junichi took up the challenge that many designers may have already faced to make a puzzle where every “piece” of the burr is actually two pieces. So what looks on the outside like a standard six piece burr is very much more complicated. “Don’t judge a book by its cover” really does apply here!

You will notice some magnets are used in the puzzle. This is to enhance the feeling in your hands. Theoretically, they are not necessary for the puzzle to work.

The puzzle is made from Western Australian Jarrah and enhanced with the routing on the ends of each piece you’ve come to know as the signature of Mr Puzzle.

The burr is made in a smaller format than the one submitted for the Design Competition entry.

Size: 90mm x 90mm x 90mm made from 30mm x 30mm stock

Gold Coast Parking Meter puzzle
An SD puzzle designed by Brian Young for the IPP27 exchange.  This is one of the originals I made for the exchange.  This photo is the actual puzzle I am selling.  The puzzle is from Ray Meads collection (he sadly passed away in 2016). The label is a bit faded but I’ll include a new sticker if you want to replace it.  I’ll also include a printed solution that was not with the exchanged puzzle. It also has the original small bag of sawdust from the Yellow Leichhardt wood that I included ...
