⟬ Fisher Fortnight II ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——07. Octrignis (2014)
from Tony's original description:
This is my transformation of a mass produced Timur Evbatyrov Vulcano/ Trignis puzzle. It has eight main sides and slightly resembles my Octaminx from 1996. I could have just taken the tips off and filled in the gaps but decided to go much further. All work including stickers was done by hand.
long-winded condition note —
curling:
for the stickers, Tony used the same heavy textured vinyl stock that Meffert's used on the original Skewb and Pyraminx puzzles, and on some of them the adhesive has dried over time and allowed the stickers to curl. this seems especially true with the orange stock (on all puzzles), but i really don't know why.
marking:
there is also some minor scratching or marking on some of the blue stickers (see photo #2). it looks like graphite, which may be removable, but i've been reluctant to experiment.
i bought some of the same stock from Tony years ago and considered replacing the marked stickers with this, but decided this would be some kind of sacriledge, like polishing an old collectible coin. it's scars are its story, buy it a pint and it might tell it to you.
♫:
—1. everything i have is in the photos.
—2. shipment is by USPS Priority Mail, insured for the full sale price and trackable.
—3. shipping will be calculated after all auctions in this Fortnight are closed (because it makes invoicing so much easier).
—4. payment is via PayPal only.
—5. all puzzles in my collection have been kept out of sunlight, in a humidity-stable room or sealed plastic container, away from pets unless they can solve them, and in a non-smoking household.
—6. shipping prices have gotten ridiculous so i'm capping them at $30: if shipping costs more, i will pay the balance.
thank you for looking, and good luck if you bid.
