Up for auction is a unique, museum-quality lot of TWO interlocking wooden puzzles straight from the personal collection of the late puzzle designer, Bill Darrah.
Included in this lot is the ingenious "Sticky Stack of Sticks," an exchange puzzle from IPP23 (2003). Designed by Bill Darrah and beautifully crafted by master puzzle maker Josef Pelikan, this interlocking brainteaser initially looks like a simple, striped wooden coaster, but quickly proves to be a formidable challenge to disassemble and reassemble.
But what makes this auction truly special is the inclusion of a second, larger variant of the puzzle. Also from Bill Darrah’s personal estate, this oversized version features wide, flat hardwood stock with stunning, contrasting grain structures. It is highly likely this was a personal prototype, a designer's proof, or a custom one-off kept by Bill himself.
