Up for auction is an extraordinary, museum-quality lot of TWO interlocking wooden cube puzzles straight from the personal estate collection of the late puzzle designer, Bill Darrah.
This lot features Bill Darrah's official exchange puzzle from the 26th International Puzzle Party (IPP26) held in Boston in 2006. Designed by Darrah himself, the beautiful production version was expertly crafted by Jaroslav Svejkovski (New Pelican Workshop) using a stunning combination of contrasting hardwoods, specifically dense Massaranduba and Ashtree. It is a fantastic interlocking burr-style cube with an intriguing open internal structure.
What elevates this auction to a true collector's centerpiece is the inclusion of Darrah's larger, original working prototype. Built from bulkier stock, this oversized variant offers a rare, hands-on look into Darrah's design process before the puzzle was scaled down and finalized for the IPP exchange.
